Consignment

There are many ways to sell through MDA. If you are planning to sell a large quantity of high-end items we can offer a private auction.  If you are planning on selling a few items, we can help you consign in a multi-client auction from our showroom in South Norwalk, CT.   

Private Auctions
Private auctions are done from private residences, designer showrooms, stager warehouses, and retail stores that want to sell a large quantity of items.  

 

  • We have multiple teams assigned to different locations.  Each team is staffed with a lead manager, photographers and catalogers that work diligently in photographing, researching, measuring and meticulously describing every item/lot, then inputs the information into an online catalog.  

  • Once this process is completed, the auction is curated and it goes live for ten days on our new custom auction platform, www.moderndaybids.com.

  • We do extensive PR including social media, email marketing, and posting on various websites. 

  • After the auction closes, there is a one-day weekend pick-up of items at the designated location. Our staff returns to the pick-up location to deliver the items to the buyers.

Consigning in the Showroom
If a client is planning to sell one or several high-end items, we can accept them on consignment in our showroom for a multi-client auction.  We have a 5,000 sq. ft. showroom/warehouse in the SoNo Collection within LA Home where we run 3 to 4 online auctions per month and also do previews by appointment.

 

  • Once your items reach the showroom they are photographed, researched, measured, and meticulously described then inputted into an online catalog.

  • When this process is completed, the auction is curated and it goes live for ten days, on our new custom auction platform, www.moderndaybids.com.

  • We do extensive PR including social media, email marketing, and posting on various websites. 

  • After the auction closes, there is a one-day pick-up from our showroom.

If a client cannot drop off the items, we can arrange movers to pick up the items at a convenient location and drop them off at our showroom.
